Mentoring throughout high school can help students mature and make the most of their strengths and potential. We work interactively with students, teaching them how to set goals, evaluate their performance, and engage in productive student-teacher relationships. At every session the student creates an action plan to promote positive choices and necessary course correction.

An important note on how we work with students:
All writing for college applications is the responsibility of the student. The way we see it, our job is to facilitate great student writing through discussion, written notes, and some editing; many students report that working with us made them better writers. We are devoted to our students’ growth as writers and to the development of their unique voices–therefore, we do not assist students to revise material based on text or feedback from school counselors, teachers, other Independent Counselors, parents, or AI chat bots.
